India releases Long-Term plan

An integrated, efficient, inclusive, low-carbon transportation system is one of the strategies, as is lowering carbon emission in electricity system in a manner that supports development. Urban design, efficiency in material and energy use in buildings, and carbon dioxide removal and engineering solutions are all examples of adaptation measures. They plan to separate emissions from expansion, and develop a low-emission industrial sector. The Government of India's announcement at COP27 that they are planning for low-emission development in the long term is significant, as it follows India's Prime Minister's announcement in Glasgow that India would reach net zero emissions.
